Dry River bed. Namibia.

As I drove over the river, the scene with the lovely colours of bush and sand, and the distance melting into the sky, was worth a photograph, and I knew immediately that I would paint that scene.

In the Spotlight

At one of the Drakensberg resorts we saw a baboon attempting to gain entrance into the dining room. We saw him again later strolling in the manicured gardens of the resort as if he was the ground's manager. A photograph supplied by Margaret Parker reminded me of the baboon we saw.

A Stare to Scare

A Stare to Scare: We were travelling on the S21, Kruger National Park, when we spotted 3 wilddogs heading down the road towards our car. I had my window open to take photos, and they gradually moved closer. This one spotted me and started walking towards me. This was the last photo I took before I stayed completely still. Even the click of taking a photo sounds exceptionally loud in those circumstances. The wilddog assessed me and moved off. Painted with acrylic on canvas, unframed.
