Wilddog Trio

We were travelling on the S21, Kruger National Park, when we spotted 3 wilddogs heading down the road towards our car. They were quite intent of their surroundings, stopping to sniff the grass along the road. The next day we encountered lion on this road, which could explain why. This is 99x79cm, painted with acrylic on canvas, unframed.

Powerful Lady

Powerful Lady It was the 2nd day travelling on the S21 Kruger National Park, one of my favourite roads in the park. We were travelling with another family, and when we returned from our game drive the previous morning having seen wilddogs, we promised to take them there. It meant an early rise for them. No wilddogs this morning though, which was not suprising as they cover large distances. BUT, we had 2 beautiful lionesses taking a leisurely stroll. They weren't hunting, just sniffing to see who had been there before. We even got some stunning photos of the impala transfixed in the road. This lioness had the end of her tail missing. When we were talking about it later at camp, someone mentioned that she had stayed too long on a kill, and a hyena had bitten it off. Painted with acrylic on canvas, unframed.

2001 Sabie River Flood _ Kruger National Park.

Oil on Board. Capturing the incredible devastation caused by the highest level of flood waters on record. River banks, with hundreds of giant trees, were washed away. Debris meters deep and clogging the river, that only elephant could forge a way through, opening the river up again. The Elephants were there, but I left some of the debris out, to make a better picture. Nice frame.
