I Love you Bouquet

Simply that. This was painted from a photograph I took of a beautiful bouquet of pink roses sent to a friend by her husband, on the occasion of their wedding anniversary. Not the usual red roses but, rather the more delicate pink, which was so in keeping with the gentle, caring and sensitive woman that she isl A woman loved and cherished. Hout Bay Boats

One of the most beautiful spots in the world. One of my happy places The stunning seaside village of Hout Bay outside Cape Town at the foot of the Chapman's Peak Drive Known for the beautiful scenery, long beach, fish and chips, seals and seagulls, boats, and home to many happy childhood memories for both me and now my children. I just loved painting this colourful fisherman's village.

Lincoln

He was kind, the light danced beautifully across his face, he has super cool dreads, and he was happy to pose for me to take photos of him and use his image for a photo. Meet Lincoln, our waiter at a restaurant at Ushaka at the Durban Beachfront. I love painting everyday people, and as I am also in Hospitality with an art-themed B&B and in an industry of service to others, painting our servers has become a thing. I painted Lincoln on a workshop with Jane Digby in the Midlands and we had a very limited colour palette, but he wanted to be painted, and I am so happy with the warmth and light that emanates out of this painting.

Storm on Kubu Island.

A National Heritage Site, Kubu Island in the Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana, is an amazing place to get to and to camp on. We experienced the worst storm winds I have ever experienced, anywhere. It nearly ripped my rooftop tent off my Land Rover, but it added to the memory of our experience there.
